Andrea Rubio of Venezuela wins Miss International 2023

In a glittering event held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, Andrea Rubio of Venezuela was crowned Miss International 2023 by the outgoing queen, Miss International 2022, Jasmin Selberg of Germany.

A 23-year-old graduate in social communication triumphed over a fiercely competitive field. Apart from her academic pursuits, Andrea boasts a thriving career as a professional model and a digital content creator. Her tenacity and unwavering dedication have long been recognized as her strongest attributes, with discipline serving as the crucial link between aspiration and accomplishment. These qualities endeared her to both the audience and pageant enthusiasts, making her a standout contender for the crown.

The newly crowned queen’s court comprises the following runners-up:
1st Runner-up: Sofía Osío of Colombia
2nd Runner-up: Camila Díaz of Peru
3rd Runner-up: Nicole Borromeo of the Philippines
4th Runner-up: Vanessa Hayes of Bolivia

Top 7 also included Itzía Garcia representing Mexico, Supaporn Ritthipruek representing Thailand.

Top 15 also included Linette Clément representing Panama, Zoi Asoumanaki representing Greece, Nassita Diako representing Côte D’Ivoire, Yamilex Hernandez representing Dominican Republic, Nguyen Phuong Nhi representing Vietnam, Amanda Solis representing Puerto Rico, Verna Leung representing Hong Kong and Cassandra Yap representing Malaysia.

The panel of esteemed judges for the finale featured notable figures, including Roberto Seminario, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to Japan; Ryohei Miyata, Chairman of the Public Interest Incorporated Association, Nitten; Junko Koshino, esteemed fashion designer; Norika Fujiwara, Miss Nippon 1992 and accomplished model and actress; Kylie Verzosa, Miss International 2016 hailing from the Philippines; Laurie Simpson, Miss International 1987 representing Puerto Rico; Jasmin Selberg, the reigning Miss International 2022 from Germany; Supapan Pichaironarongsongkram, Chairwoman of Chao Phraya Express Boat; Senko Ikenobo, Headmaster designate at Ikenobo; Soujitsu Kobori, Head of Kobori Enshu school of tea; and Akemi Shimomura, President of the Miss International Organization.
